Construction worker dies after being hit by metal rod in Tassia

A construction worker on Monday, January 31, died after he was hit by a metal rod.

In a police report seen by K24 Digital, Allan Munyao died after he sustained a deep cut on his head at a construction site in Nairobi's Tassia estate. He was rushed to Penda Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

“It was reported by John Ng’elu Munyau, a resident of Kayole estate that today his brother Allan Munyau, 27, was doing construction work at Tassia Estate,” the report read in part.

It further revealed that a steel rod accidentally fell on his head occasioning a deep hole on the head.

Police officers drawn from Embakassi visited the construction site where they processed and documented the scene as further investigations commence.

The body of the deceased has since been taken to Mama Lucy Hospital awaiting postmortem.

Meanwhile, police in Ruai are investigating the death of a man who was found dead inside his house.

Vincent Mwihia,25, was found dead by locals in his Gatuoro village.
