A drank police officer on Saturday stormed into Embu police station and tore the Occurrence Book (OB) while his colleagues watched in dismay.
In a report seen by K24 Digital, the officer identified as Arnold Ngugi went to the report office while totally drunk and took the OB.
“The officer tore it into pieces for no apparent reason and when confronted he dismissed his colleagues,” the report partly read.

Ngugi went ahead to state that he knew his rights and there is nothing that would happen to him.
He told his colleagues that he was conversant with his rights both as a police officer and a Kenyan citizen.
The officer was immediately arrested and booked in the cells while drunk.
Police said that the torn OB commenced from July 17, 2021 from case number 52 to case number 88 of August 13.
The torn pieces were kept as exhibit ahead of his arraignment in court on Monday, August 16.
It has also emerged that his bosses are consulting in order to know which step they will take against the suspect.
Cases of police officers breaking the law have been on an upward trajectory.
On Friday, August 13- two brothers Benson Njiru, 22 and Emmanuel Mutura, 19 suspected to have been killed by police officers were laid to rest at their home in Githangari village.
During their burial following their death which caused a public out roar, political leaders called for action to be taken against police officers behind the deaths of the duo.
The two brothers died on Sunday, August 1, during the 10pm to 4am curfew.
On Friday, two police officers were also charged for taking bribes and we’re jailed for two months.
The two officers attached to Nyeri police station identified as Titus Mutua and Sammy Kahindi were accused of receiving a bribe fined Sh250,000 in default to serve one year in jail.
