Former Nairobi County Governor Mike Sonko has called out netizens ridiculing Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua after his much-publicised break-up with former Machakos First Lady Lilian Ng’ang’a.

Sonko’s reaction comes after netizens took to social media with photos that seemingly scorned governor Mutua while wittingly depicting the fruits as a representation of manhood.

“We all undergo divorce cases and even heartbreaks in marriages and relationships, this issue of comparing the size of bananas and cucumbers in couple’s affairs is not fair at all. Can you stop it? Sonko posed.

According to Sonko, a banana is just a fruit like any other fruit and the photos circulating around social media are uncalled for and unfair to governor Mutua.

“What does bananas got to do with Alfred's and Lilian's affair? A banana is just a human being like any other,” Sonko said.

Amid the much-publicised breakup, netizens have shared their views, with some congratulating Juliani for ‘stealing’ the county property.

This forced Ng’ang’a to confirm the rumoured relationship through her social media on Friday, September 3.  This was after their photos littered on social media sparking dating speculations.

Juliani on his part said it was pointless to substantiate the obvious and said he found it confusing that Kenyans believed that it was possible to steal someone from their spouse without consent.

The rapper also took issue with media outlets for painting him as a ‘wife snatcher’.

“How now can you “iba mtu”?! An intelligent adult with a sound mind. The call/text threat on my life today, NOT funny! “ulinyang’anyana” narrative is false, tired, juicy headlines tu. Kindly STOP!,” he posted.
