Christabel, the widow of late Matungu MP Murunga, ‘to run for parliamentary seat’

Christabel Murunga, the widow of late Matungu MP Justus Murunga, has suggested she will run for the vacant seat left behind by her spouse.

Christabel made the remarks Saturday during the lawmaker’s burial ceremony at Makunda Village in Matungu, Kakamega County.

“My dear husband was such a darling to me. He was responsible, so caring and so loving. He was a good father to my girls,” said Christabel.

“People of Matungu, I love you all. Now, I will double the love for you by adding his to mine. Do not worry at all. I will try fit in his shoes [politically],” she said.
