Chief Administrative Secretary for the Ministry of Industrialization, Trade & Enterprise Development David Osiany was on Saturday, August 27, 2022, forced to fight off claims alleging that he was President-Elect William Ruto's mole in the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition.
This comes after Raila Odinga's former aide Wafula Buke, blogger Abraham Mutai and ODM's candidate in the Muranga senatorial contest Pius Kinuthia, poked holes into Osiany's political stand accusing him of being an informer.

In a subsequent rejoinder, Osiany who is an ardent Raila supporter rubbished the claims urging Wafula to stop misinforming the public.
"I can forgive others for clout-chasing & rumour-mongering on this app, but certainly not you my brother. You know me better than the insinuations you’re helping peddle. Much better. I have ignored all others, but couldn’t ignore this. Speak from a point of knowledge, not innuendos," he posted.
