Car burnt, demonstrations ensue after learner driver knocks down infant in Bungoma

Drama ensued at Kimilili constituency Bungoma county after irate residents torched down a vehicle which allegedly knocked down and killed a young boy aged five while instantly while injurying two women.

According to eye witnesses of the Saturday, August 14 accident, the saloon car was being driven by a woman suspected to be under driving instructions when it veered off the Bokoli Kimilli junction causing the death of the infant who had just left hospital.

Speaking to K24 Digital, the doctor treating the boy said the deceased had just left his hospital before meeting his death.

The mother of the deseased suffured a fractured limb while the grandmother had minor injuries.

The body of the deceased was taken to Dream Land morgue as police begin investigation.
