Multiple autopsies conducted on his body revealed that the teenager died of a single bullet to the head.

Leaders in attendance include; Narok Governor Samuel Tunai, Woman Rep Soipan Tuya, Narok East MP Lemanken Aramat and former Labour CAS Patrick Ntutu.

Reports indicate the 15-year-old boy allegedly shot himself dead after a confrontation with his father about school.

This is according to Sankok's first-born daughter, Rosemary Naserian Sankok, 21, who told journalists that her brother had issues with going back to school.

The incident was also confirmed by Narok County criminal investigation officer Mwenda Ethaiba who revealed that Mumesi shot himself on the chin and died on the spot.

“We have established that last week, the MP provided cash for his son to go back to school in Kericho while he was out of the country on official duties. The Form Four student, however, did not report to school and got angry when his father inquired,” Ethaiba said.

Several leaders including Raila Odinga shared their messages of condolences to the family of the nominated lawmaker upon news of Mumesi's death.
