A Mombasa children's court has stayed orders issued to allow the return of two minors who survived, a grisly road accident that claimed the lives of their parents and 3 sisters, to return to their parents Kisimani home in Mombasa county.
Ronald Bundi, his wife Veronica Bundi and three of their children died in a road accident on the eve of Christmas day.
In the new development, Tononoka children's court issued orders to stay its earlier ruling given on January 20 this year.

Tononoka principal magistrate Viola Yator ruled that upon hearing the application by the children's department she has reversed her orders until the children are discharged from the hospital.
In the court documents filed by Nyali sub-county director of Children's services, it has now emerged that the two minors Micheal Bundi aged 10 years, and Venant Bundi aged 3 years were yet to be discharged from the coast general hospital.
The officer informed the court that there were misrepresentations of facts in the earlier matter filed by, the minors' maternal aunty, Harriet Gesare who in her sworn affidavit informed the court that the two minors remain to suffer as they have since been discharged from hospital but have no place to go since their parents’ house remains locked by Dennis Nyamweno, a brother to Bundi
The children's office informed the court that only one minor had been discharged from the hospital and that he was yet to leave the hospital since he was still keeping his younger brother company.
"Your honour in the citation before your court, the children department has established that the minors are still at the coast general hospital since it's only one minor who has since been discharged while the other one is still recuperating at the hospital a decision was reached at by the hospital management to allow the one discharged remain at the hospital since they need each other and he is the only family he has to to keep him company," reads part of the children's officers report.
On Thursday Yator who certified the matter as urgent ordered for the return of the two minors to their parent's house under the care of Gesare.
A move that has now been termed as a scheme to have Gesare remain in the house.
In the application, the minors’ aunty Gesare has been listed as the petitioner while the respondent has been listed as Dennis Nyamweno.
Nyamweno is yet to file his response on claims being leveled against him.
Bundi 43, was traveling to his Kisii rural home with his wife and five children in the family car, a Subaru legacy, when he collided head-on with another car coming from the opposite direction at the Mackinnon area on the Nairobi-Mombasa highway.
Yator further issued directions for the matter to be mentioned on, January 26
She further ordered for the production of the earlier file for further directions
