Emani Business Centre which houses Jubilee party headquarters has been put up for auction.

The seven-storey commercial complex located in Pangani along Thika Superhighway appeared in an advert with Garam Investments on Monday.

It is set to be auctioned on Tuesday, September 13 at Garam's headquarters offices in Westlands.

The property is registered under Florence Wairimu Mbugua of Farmers Industry Limited.

"Bidders will be required to produce a bidding deposit of Kshs 5 million by way of cash or bankers cheque before being allowed to bid," a part of the auction notice read.

Jubilee party has been operating from the property since 2016, a year before the 2017 General Election.

After an audit report in 2021, the Auditor General Nancy Gathungu questioned the party's expenditure on rent which had been estimated to be Ksh 87.47 million yet they had arrears.

The party had also failed to register the lease agreement for the property with the Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning to justify the payments.
