Finally, there is light at the end of the tunnel in a case where a Kenyan Commercial Sex Worker was killed by a suspected British soldier in Nanyuki.
K24 Digital has established that Generals of the United Kingdom (UK) army were on Monday, November 8, summoned by Defense Secretary Ben Wallace due to the death of the woman known as Agnes Wanjiru.
It is worth noting that immediately after her body was retrieved from a septic tank at the hotel where she was allegedly murdered, her colleagues; the commercial sex workers in Nanyuki held demonstrations condemning the death.
The British soldier was enclosed in a meeting that took hours with the army bosses where they discussed the behaviour of a section of British soldiers in Kenya.
Apart from the death of Wanjiru which happened in 2012 where she was allegedly murdered inside a room in a local hotel within Nanyuki, the British soldiers are also accused of being indisciplined whenever they are in Kenya.
Already, Wallace has revealed that there is a lot that should be investigated by the UK government.
“The issues have brought to light important issues that require all our people to play their part in resolving,” Wallace said.
His revaluation comes at a time when Kenya Defense Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, revealed last week that the deal between Kenya and the UK had already expired and was yet to be renewed.
The family of the late Wanjiru who was killed moments after enjoying bottles of beer with the British soldiers has been seeking answers to what might have transpired in vain.
Efforts to hear anything from the Kenyan government had also borne no fruits.
