Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine’s lawyer, Erias Lukwago, was on Sunday, April 11, rushed to the Nairobi Hospital for treatment after falling ill in Uganda.

Lukwago, who is also the Kampala city mayor, has for the last one week been receiving treatment at different hospitals in Uganda when his condition worsened prompting his family to bring him to Kenya.

“Despite attending several medical facilities in Kampala, he was referred to Nairobi Hospital for further treatment,” Ms. Doreen Nyanjura his deputy said.

Nyanjura said the mayor had received treatment at Lubaga Hospital, Case Hospital, Norvik Hospital and several others.

She said that the politician had experienced recurring dizziness, persistent abdominal discomfort, and severe chest pain despite being treated at several facilities in Kampala.

“However, I have spoken to him and I can assure his supporters that he is currently doing good,” she said.

This is not the first time the politician is being admitted to a Nairobi Hospital.

In November 2020, he was rushed to the same facility and treated for acute anaphylaxis a condition that affects the immune system of a human being.

Bobi Wine posted on his official Facebook account about the illness of his lawyer as he wished him quick recovery.

“We have put you into prayers. May the healing hand of the Almighty touch you. Get well soon comrade,” he said in the post.
