A bar manager was on Friday stabbed to death by a reveller who refused to foot a bill he incurred while drinking with several of his friends.

The incident took place in Keroka, Nyamira County where the manager identified as Bavon Ogoti was stabbed by a reveller whom he confronted as he tried to escape with his group without paying their bill.

A police report seen by Mediama Digital filed at Keroka Police Station under OB number 70/01/01/2021 revealed Ogoti was stabbed with a knife in the neck, stomach and on his left hand.

“The reveller was running away in regard to the payment and the manager decided to follow him down the stairs but in return he became violent, assaulted him and ran away,” the report read in part.

The manager was taken to Medistop medical facility and later referred to Christamarian Hospital in Kisii County where he was pronounced dead.

His body was taken to Kisii Level V Hospital mortuary.

Police said that they had launched a manhunt to trace the suspect.
