Azimio la Umoja -One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga has maintained his stance on the ongoing protests.

Speaking to supporters in Mukuru Kwa Njenga the opposition leader affirmed that no amount of anti-riot officers deployed will block them (Azimio) from accessing various residential areas in the city to join ongoing protests.

He also insisted that the officers deployed will not deter him from fighting for the rights of Kenyans.

"Wameleta askari wengi zaidi. Ata wakileta askari millioni moja Azimio tutapita," Raila said.

Loosely translated, "They have deployed a higher number of police officers. Even if they deploy a million officers, Azimio will still proceed with protests."

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader also insisted that the Kenya Kwanza government must lower the cost of living and make it easier for citizens to survive.

"Lazima gharama ya maisha irudi chini, lazima bei ya unga irudi chini, lazima bei ya stima irudi chini (The cost of living must come down, and the cost of flour and electricity must come down)," he stated amid cheers from the crowd.

Raila was accompanied by Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua, Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, former Defence Cabinet Secretary (CS) Eugene Wamalwa, Roots party leader Professor George Wajackoyah and other leaders allied to the coalition.
