ABC Kiseveni Secondary School principal, Ms. Betta Mutuku, has been arrested after sharing the Mathematics Paper II on her WhatsApp status on Monday evening.
She posted the question hours before Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education candidates sat the exam scheduled for Tuesday morning, April 6.
Led by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations Officer (DCIO) Machakos County, Rhodah Akinyi, detectives stormed the school on Tuesday morning, April 6, where they seized Ms. Mutuku.
"She has told us that she doesn't know who put the exam on her status. BUt she has confirmed to us that it is the ongoing paper...so we are going to the station with her. We will hand over her phone to the Cyber Crime headquarters to know where the exam originated from," said DCIO Akinyi said.
Police said that Ms. Mutuku had posted the paper on her WhatsApp status for her candidates to study it and practice overnight.
Mutuku told the detectives that she was alerted by the intelligence people that her status had the national exam for Mathematics Paper II.
"If we find out that she is the one who put it, she will face the law according to the Kenya National Examination Council rules," said Akinyi.
Detectives took her to their Machakos County offices for further interrogation.
