Priscah Mwaro, the ex-wife of Sports, Culture and Heritage Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba was, on Saturday, March 18, 2023, laid to rest at the CS's Magoye residence in Budalangi, Busia County.
Her burial followed a requiem mass that was held at Consulate Shrine on Friday, March 17.
Mwaro was reported dead early this month by her close relatives a day after her birthday on March 8.
“We’re still seeking to establish what led to the death of our loved one, Prisca. We are yet to get answers for quite a number of questions,” a close family member intimated to a media outlet.
The mother of three was married to Namwamba for eight years before they parted ways in 2019.
Namwamba married Mwaro after his marriage with his first wife and campus sweetheart collapsed in 2009.
Until her demise, she worked as an administrator at Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KeNGEN).
Several personalities and government officials joined the CS to pay their last respect to his ex-wife including singer Akothee, and health CS Susan Wafula among others.
