Mbita Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo has distanced herself from claims that she has accepted being childless.

Earlier in the day, a Facebook user bearing her full name 'Millie Odhiambo Mabona', claimed that she had allegedly moved on from the quest to bear a child and declaring that she was now a mother to the motherless.

The post elicited mixed reactions with some, who thought the account belonged to the legislator, empathizing with 'her'.

It spread like bushfire to an extent of causing confusion in newsrooms, and finally caught the attention of the legislator.

"I do not know if it is a genuine or fake K24 TV that has commented on my fake Facebook account where I have allegedly accepted and moved on about not having a child.

"I have no other Facebook account other than this and I have not commented about not having a child. I want to pull a Sara at 100 years. A baby is coming at 100 years," she posted on her genuine Facebook account, which is Millie Mabona.

The fake Facebook user that caused confusion wrote: “Those of you who always like attacking me for not having kids kindly have accepted the will of God and moved on. I’m a mother of the motherless and I’m proud of that."
