At least five services offered by Safaricom PLC will be affected between 2am and 8am Sunday, March 22.

The telco giant announced on social media Friday that the services will be interrupted as the company maintains its systems.

The services that will be unavailable for the six hours include: airtime top ups (both manual and through M-Pesa), product purchases (data, voice and SMS bundles), Bonga Points services, including redemption, balance transfers, and inquiries on the balances of data, SMS and airtime.

The company, however, states that four key services, including calls, SMS, M-Pesa (withdrawals, transfers, payment and balance inquiry), internet and data “shall remain available for the duration of the maintenance”.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused, and thank you for your patience,” said Safaricom PLC in a press statement Friday.
