The 44 teenagers who were arrested at a drinking party in a Nairobi house will be handed over to their parents, detectives revealed on Monday.

Dagoretti Directorate of Criminal Investigations boss said the teenagers are still in custody but will be counselled and then handed over to their guardians.

But the investigating officer said he will request Kibera Law Courts to allow him to detain the suspect who hosted the teenagers at his house.

The detective wants the suspect to be detained at Kabete Police Station as he completes his investigations into how the teenagers ended up at a drinking party.
