32 more people recover from Covid-19 in Kenya, 23 new cases confirmed

Thirty-two more people have recovered from Covid-19, Health Chief Administrative Secretary, Dr Rashid Aman said on Sunday.

This being the number of people who have recovered from the coronavirus disease in Kenya to 239.

Meanwhile, following the testing of 1057 samples by the Ministry of Health, 23 more people tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

Dr. Aman said that 22 of the new Covid-19 cases are Kenyan while one is Burundian.

Twelve of the new cases were found in Mombasa County, with eight of them in Mvita and two each in Kisauni and Likoni.

Dr. Aman said the four cases confirmed in Nairobi are from Umoja (2) and one each in Komarock and Pipeline estates.

In Mandera County, the cases were in Mandera East (3) and each in El-Wark, Mandera North and Mandera West.

The person who tested positive in Kajiado was picked from Saina Estate.

So far, 32,097 samples have been tested.

The number of those who have died from coronavirus disease also rose on Sunday by two, bringing total deaths to 32.
