A three-year-old baby who was kidnapped by his uncle over a debt that his parents owe him has been found hidden in a forest.

Baby J.K was found at a forest in Kangendu, Ndenderu in Kiambu County.

The family has spent days looking for the minor after he went missing from their home in Ndenderu but later word went round that an abandoned baby had been found in the forest.

It remains unclear whether the baby was being given food in the days that he had been missing.

Immediately, the baby was found; relatives, parents and friends first rushed him to a local police station where they recorded a statement.

Later, the minor was taken to Gachie hospital where he was examined before the doctors gave him a clean bill of health.

J.K's mother said that it had been established that the baby was kidnapped by his paternal uncle who informed the police that he took the action after his brother failed to pay him his money.

“My husband has denied that he owes him any money and I fail to understand why he decided to pull such a move,” J. K’s mother said adding that she was very happy to have received her son.

Meanwhile, police in Ruaka are holding a 15-year-old student who left Kisii county to meet his uncle who had promised to buy him books.

Lameck Nyangenya, 15, who is a Class Eight pupil at Magenge Primary School was found by the police officers while naked.
