The 2NK Sacco driver who decried frustrations after attempting to have high school students who were abusing drugs in the vehicle he was driving arrested, has landed a county job.

John Muthoni will now be part of the team of drivers at the Nyeri County government. His appointment was announced by Nyeri governor Mutahi Kahiga.

"I wish to celebrate John Maina Muthoni, formerly of 2NK, a heroic driver who courageously reported students upon realizing that they were smoking bhang and drinking alcohol. My government will offer him a position as a driver in one of our departments," Mutahi Kahiga stated.

John Muthoni, who courageously drove to Sagana Police Station upon realising that the high school students he was carrying were smoking bhang and drinking alcohol, reported that he was being frustrated by his employer after the incident.

His distress call caught the attention of the DCI boss George Kinoti who eventually asked to meet him.
