A 26-year-old man was on Tuesday found dead inside a lodging in Mlolongo, Machakos County.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Clinton Wanakacha, the deceased, booked the lodging while in the company of an unidentified woman a day before his lifeless body was found lying in the room.
"The deceased's lifeless body was found on Tuesday morning sprawled on the bed in one of the rooms at Miathathia guest house," the DCI said.

Employees at the guest house who discovered Clinton's body told detectives that they found two used condoms in the room but the woman who was in the company of the deceased was missing.
Detectives have since taken the condoms to help unravel the mysterious death of Clinton and identify the woman who is also the prime suspect in the case.
"The deceased's body has since been moved to a city mortuary as investigations into the murder case continue," DCI said.
