184 more COVID-19 cases confirmed, Kenya surpasses 4, 000 mark

Kenya has registered 184 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 4, 044, Health CAS Dr Rashid Aman announced Wednesday, June 17.

The 184 cases were discovered in 2, 518 samples tested between Tuesday and Wednesday.

One hundred and eighty three (183) of the new patients were Kenyans, with only one being a foreigner.

With 111 cases, Nairobi produced a bulk of the new infections.

One hundred and twenty nine (129) of the 184 new cases were male patients, whereas 55 were female.

Twenty seven (27) more patients recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1, 353.

Two more people died of COVID-19 in Kenya, pushing the toll to 107.

Kenya has so far tested 124,474 samples for COVID-19.
