Mutahi Kagwe: Fully vaccinated individuals can still contract COVID-19

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has urged Kenyans to continue observing COVID-19 precautionary measures even as the country continues to battle the killer disease.

Speaking in a press briefing at Harambee House, the CS warned Kenyans including those who have been vaccinated not to let their guard down on matters COVID-19.

"We continue to implore all Kenyans including those who have received the COVID-19 vaccines not to let their guard down and urge them to avoid unnecessary movements and gatherings," the CS said.

CS Kagwe also warned that persons who have received the COVID-19 vaccine are at risk of contracting the virus, only that they get it with less civility.

"Recent reports globally indicate that even persons who have been vaccinated van contact the virus. The difference is that those who have been vaccinated are getting the disease but with less civility. So it is advised that whether you have been vaccinated or not observe the rules," he warned.
