Winnie Odinga, the daughter of former prime minister Raila Odinga, has opened up about what she looks for in a partner.

In a candid interview with a local radio station, the BrickHouse Counsel CEO described her ideal man as tall, dark and slender.

She, however, insisted that the lucky man has to be learned.

"You got to be taller than me. I am 5'10… you have to be dark and like slim. He has to come with a degree," Winnie told Spice FM's Olivia Otieno.

On what makes a relationship work, the last-born daughter of the Azimio One Kenya coalition presidential candidate emphasized the importance of building trust and good communication skills.

"I look for trust, ability to communicate, have a discussion and sought of a platform I can bounce off all the work that I do," she added.

Winnie, who currently works as her father's assistant, described herself as an introvert who enjoys spending quality time alone listening to music and watching movies during her free time.

Being a politician's daughter, she says she has learned to be skeptical to avoid trouble. Because of this, she often finds it difficult to make new friends.

"That has always been a challenge. You find that children of politicians, and also children of drug dealers, don't trust people. They have become so skeptical because there are a lot of betrayals and going back and forth.

"They have become skeptical of people, so you become cautious about how you deal with people," Winnie explained.

Despite all this, she says she has a small circle of friends she trusts.

"I think I have got a good circle of friends. I meet a lot of people by the nature of my work. Just keep your circle tight," she added.

In October 2021, Winnie left tongues wagging after disclosing that she plans to wed this year.

Speaking at a meeting with Mount Kenya Youths at The University of Nairobi, Winnie said she would wed at the lawns of State House after Raila is sworn in as the fifth president of Kenya.

"Tell them that I said Winnie Odinga will get married in 2022, on the lawns of State House, And you are all invited, so if you want that to happen, go register to vote," she jested.
