Musician Khaligraph Jones has joined other musicians and comedians in calling out self-proclaimed President of Comedy in Africa, Eric Omondi over his statement on the state of Kenya’s entertainment industry.

Addressing the press on Sunday, November 14, Brian Robert Ouko alias Khaligraph Jones said Eric Omondi lacks the authority to comment on Kenya’s music industry adding that the comedian should stick to comedy.

“Uyo jamaa si msanii...Eric Omondi is supposed to address comedians,” Kaligraph said.

The musician further said that he will only address Sauti Sol, Nyashinski or Mejja if they comment on the status of Kenya’s musical industry.

“Acha mambo ya Eric Omondi, Nyashinski anasemaje, Sauti sol wanasemaje, Mejja anasemaje, if those guys make any statement about the current matter, then I’ll give you a response.” Khaligraph added.

Speaking during the launch of Galactic Gadgets in Nairobi, Khaligraph claimed that Nigeria beats Kenya in music because of Kenyans culture of degrading each other.

Country gani apa Africa unaeza sema iko juu ya Kenya ki-mziki, tusihesabu Nigeria, na Nigeria pia iko na population ya 200Million…But because we have a culture of demeaning, tunataka kusema nani is doing better than us,.that’s nonsense,” he said.

Countering Omondi’s statement on Kenyan musician curtain-raising for other artists during local shows, Khaligraph said that what matters is the performance and pay.

“I have been curtain-raising for Bahati and whoever..Ni mtu anapanda stage na analipwa pesa yake, event organizer chooses the time to allocate you,” Khaligraph said.
