Tanasha Oketch, the ex-lover of musician Diamond Platnumz, says her superstar baby daddy is a deadbeat father, who is yet to contribute to the welfare of their 8-month old son.

Speaking to Jalang’o in an interview uploaded to the comedian’s YouTube channel on Wednesday, June 4, Tanasha said her brand endorsement deals have made it possible for her to raise money, which she uses in looking after her child.

“Diamond Platnumz has not been supporting the child financially. I have been doing it all on my own, to be honest. I will be 100 per cent honest with you. I am real, I won’t say something that is not the case. With all the respect that I have for him, and there is no any bad blood between him and I… No, he is not supporting the boy. I do not need his support, to be honest. I am raising my son just fine… There is nothing that boy lacks in his life… He is fine. That is what matters, au sio?” said the former NRG Radio host, when she was asked about Diamond’s contribution to the child’s welfare.

The 24-year-old mother-of-one said in absence of Diamond’s financial input, she has been relying on endorsement deals and partnerships with product-manufacturers to raise survival money, particularly during this COVID-19 crisis period.

“I am doing perfectly fine because God has been good, He has been amazing. The baby and I have endorsement contracts, we have companies that we are partnering with, and it is earning us a good amount of money, especially during these tough times,” said Tanasha.

“It is all in the partnerships that we are getting into with corporates and [brand] endorsement deals that is keeping us going right now. God has kept us going during this time,” she added.

Tanasha and Diamond Platnumz, who dated for 15 months beginning November 2018, broke up in February 2020 with either party citing unmet expectations as the reason for their split.

The couple's relationship yielded a son, Naseeb Junior, who was born on October 2, 2019.
