Tanzanian singer Rajab Abdul Kahali, alias Harmonize has been arrested and is currently held at Kileleshwa Police Station over performance row.

Melamani Limited, the promoter who brought Harmonize to Kenya for a number of shows was not satisfied with his performance in the country and decided to report him to the police.

The management says the Bongo star skipped a number of shows despite pocketing money.

On Saturday, Harmonize was to perform at various places including the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Captains Lounge, Volume 001, and Cocorico Club among others.

At Captains Lounge, he was to reportedly perform for 1-and-half hours but instead allegedly performed for five minutes, a thing that didn’t sit well with the promoter.

He did the same for Cocoriko despite pocketing money meant for the performance, according to the club’s DJ, DJ Kay who says he personally delivered the money to Harmonize.

Cocorico's director Joe Barsil also confirmed that he paid Harmonize's promoter for him to show up

"I paid Ksh.450,000 to Melamani Limited for Harmonize to come to the club for a party and to be with the fans for one and a half hours, but when he came he only stayed for not more than five minutes.," Barsil told K24 Digital.

Harmonize's bodyguards are now claiming that Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi took all the money and that the clubs are unfairly blaming Harmonize.

"Eric Omondi ni tapeli, atakuja kwanza tuongee. Wakenya tulieni, sisi ni familia, tuko pamoja," One of Harmonize's body guards said.

Eric Omondi and Harmonize are currently at the station, with the bodyguards trying to intervene.
