Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna opened up on his undying crush on Sarah Hassan while delivering a speech at the Kalasha award gala.
The Kalasha International Film and TV awards 2022 was held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi.
The award gala was graced by Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba who was the Chief Guest, Kenya Film Commission CEO Timothy Owese, Nairobi Senator Sifuna among other dignitaries.

Sifuna opened up about his crush on Sarah Hassan while delivering his speech. He admitted that he only accepted the invitation to attend the Kalasha award gala because he wanted to meet the actress.
The Nairobi senator further confessed that Hassan had 'disturbed' his heart for many years.
"Nataka kuchukua fursa hii kwanza niwakaribishe nyote katika jiji letu la Nairobi na nikiri kwamba nilikubali mwito huu kwa sababu nilikua na kiu sana ya kukutana na mwanadada mmoja ambaye amenisumbua roho miaka mingi. Anaitwa Sarah Hassan, sijamuona."
"(I want to take this opportunity to first welcome you all to our city of Nairobi and admit that I accepted the invitation because I was eager to meet a young lady who has troubled my heart for many years. Her name is Sarah Hassan, I have not seen her)," Sifuna said.
Hassan's reaction
Sarah Hassan only laughed off comments by Kenyans who were teasing her after Sifuna poured out his heart to her.
The actress posted on her InstaStories some of her reactions to netizens who were poking fun at her after Sifuna admitted that she was 'disturbing' his heart.
"Una mchezo master," Sarah Hassan reacted to a netizen who said her new name is 'shorey wa kuwakunywa'.
Married woman
Sarah Hassan is married to Martin Dale. The two lovebirds got married on February 25, 2017, and relocated to the US before they came back to the country.
The couple is blessed with a son. Sarah is very protective of her family as she rarely posts her son or her husband on social media.
