Kenyan Mugithi singer Samidoh Muchoki recently showed off a glimpse of his academic documents on his Instagram page.
The artiste disclosed that he was a top student during his primary school years, showcasing his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam results.
Samidoh revealed that his childhood dream was to pursue a career in law. However, life had other plans for him, leading him down a musical path and also becoming a police officer.
"Huyo index number one wa kwenu anafanyanga nini mimi siku hizi," he quipped in Swahili.
"I aspired to be a lawyer. Saa hii me ni One man guitor AKA. Singing policeman.
Dreams not shattered bado nakula mbuku," he shared.
Samidoh Muchoki's career
Aside from his successful music career, Samidoh serves as an administrative police officer, a lesser-known facet about him.
He joined the police service in 2013 and completed his training in 2014. His initial posting was in Eastleigh, Nairobi.
He was transferred to Mpeketoni in Lamu County, where he continued to serve diligently. His dedication to his duties eventually led to his relocation to Dadaab in Garissa County after a productive tenure in the coastal region.
Samidoh was transferred to Athi River in Machakos County, where he is currently stationed while juggling his musical career.
