Just like all relationships, celebrity affairs are also a dynamic mixture of two energies – positive and negative ones.

This year , Kenyan celebrities and celebrity couples have served fans with the bad, the good and the drama.

Here are the major relationship dramas of 2022 as sampled by K24 Digital.

Diana & Bahati

Diana Marua spurred controversy on social media after asking her husband singer Bahati to get a vasectomy.

Speaking in an interview with Mungai Eve, Marua disclosed that the her pregnancy was unplanned, further disclosing that she was not on any birth control method.

She noted that they planned for their other children, but the third child came as a surprise for both of them.

“I keep on saying this pregnancy ( for their third child) was not planned, we didn’t sit down and say we're looking for another baby. For Heaven and Majesty, the pregnancies were planned but this one things backfired.

“Pull out and pray didn’t work, so it was a moment for me to accept that this is what has happened and when I am comfortable I can now share with the public,” Diana said.

Diana added that she is done having children and appealed to her husband to consider vasectomy so as to avoid more children in the future.

"Bahati should go and do a vasectomy because at this point that is the only sacrifice he is supposed to do for me. I have given him three children, so it’s up to him to consider vasectomy because for me I’m not getting more children. It’s a wrap. I have five children already,” Diana stated.

In a dramatic twist, Diana later promised to sire more children with Bahati.

Corazon & Frankie

These two were embroiled in a heated drama after Frankie linked his breakup with his baby mama Corazon Kwamboka to daddy issues.

The fitness trainer while appearing in an interview with Tanzania’s Simulizi Na Sauti, explained that just like Maureen, Corazon too had daddy issues since she grew up without a father figure in her life which greatly contributed to their split.

He said Corazon’s father would show up only when he needed something from the socialite which later compromised her love life.

“The two ladies I've been with, didn't have a father figure and this is something Corazon and I have talked about. She has never had a father figure, her dad was never there full time.

“To her, love had a condition; like when I go to her showing love it means I want something from her. So for me when I show her love, she tries to find a condition and so you have to over-prove yourself in every situation,” he noted.

On her part, Corazon did not join in the drama and only said she was unimpressed that she confided in Frankie only for him to use the same information shared in vulnerability to chase clout.

She says she was saving herself from revealing much information for the sake of her young kids.

"Imagine telling someone shit in private and in confidence with full vulnerability then they use it for clout #beendone," Corazon wrote on her Insta stories.

"If I start to talk, no one will stop me. I choose to remain silent for the sake of my children because I know one day, they'll be grown," she added.

Samidoh & Karen Nyamu

The drama around politician Karen Nyamu and Mugithi star Samidoh's relationship started when the former got her nomination to the Senate.

Samidoh donned matching clothes with Nyamu and their two children to attend her swearing in causing trouble in Samidoh's marriage with his wife Edday Nderitu.

Just days after the event, Edday shared a cryptic message online which got fans speculating about some warfare.

The mother of three shared her thoughts on side chicks noting that men tolerate them at the cost of their kids' well-being.

She was reacting to a social media post by Bernice Saroni who was also castigating side kicks terming them as home wreckers.

"It all starts with a man who doesn’t respect his family, then comes a side chick who thinks she’s better than the wife, then comes children who suffer because of two selfish people, and that’s why depression in pre-teens and teens has increased," she stated.

In a later date, Karen was in another dramatic fight with Bernice over Samidoh's USA Mugithi tour which saw her travel to the European country although according to her she was not fighting for the artiste, and that she was in US for work.

But the mother of their drama was in mid-December when she attended Samidoh's show in Dubai where security officers were forced to escort her out of the event for peace to prevail. Samidoh's wife Edday was also present in the building, sparking lots of reactions from the singer's fans.

Karen would later announce that she had broken with Samidoh in order to avoid the 'unnecessary' drama, going forward.

Size 8 & DJ Mo (breakup)

Celebrity couple Size 8 and DJ Mo joined the headlines this year over their marital woes after their break-up rumours surfaced on social media platforms.

It was said that Size 8 had allegedly evacuated their matrimonial home, and to drive suspicions of a split, even more, fans also noticed that the couple unfollowed each other on social media.

After a while, Size 8 confirmed she ran away from her matrimonial home as it was reported in the media even though she has now reconciled with her husband DJ Mo.

The couple in a joint address came out to clarify that all was well between them in spite of all the reports going around about them separating.

The mother of two admitted that she ran away from her matrimonial home because her husband wronged her really bad.

"Yes, I ran away. I ran away and I was very angry at DJ Mo. Alikua amenikosea. So I ran. I just needed some space to breathe and just talk to God. I believe when my emotions are so high if we are under the same roof tutaongeleshana vibaya, tutatreatiana vibaya so I had to just go," Size 8 said.

The Kabus

It was all drama after Bonfire adventures owners Sarah and Simon Kabu shared their marriage crisis online with Sarah framing herself to the public as a 'betrayed' woman before an increasingly inevitable divorce from her husband.

In early April 2022, Sarah came out bitterly complaining and claiming that her husband Bonfire Adventures CEO Simon Kabu had bribed police and taken away their two children.

Sarah spilt the beans on her troubled marriage while speaking to Tina Lewis in a tell-all interview. She said that she had been having conflicts with her husband since 2013 but she was just pretending that everything was fine since she is a public figure.

In a dramatic twist, she apologised before the biggest surprise yet.

“Sorry my fam. When I was in distress I said things that I shouldn’t have said online and thus misleading. Life is a lesson and we learn every day. Forgive me Simon. Let's sort our issues offline. All is well. Please keep us in prayers #Marriageworks,” Sarah Kabu wrote.

Weeks later, Sarah Kabu cleverly decided to get pregnant for her husband to reignite love after their marriage nearly hit rock bottom.

Fast forward to May 2022, Sarah Kabu announced that she was pregnant for her husband when she surprised him with a cake written 'happy to be a dad again'.

However, she suffered a miscarriage but said she remains hopeful that she will conceive again.
