Social media was on Friday, November 11, 2022, left awash with comments after a video of a man believed to be a priest dedicating a popular controversial night club emerged.
In the video that has since gone viral, the priest, who attended the opening of the famous Quiver Lounge in Kenol, is seen springing holy water on the premises as another member of the clergy holds a basin for him.
A section of Kenyans thronged the comment section to share their opinion. Quarters strongly disagreed with the decision stating that it was 'tarnishing' God's name. However, a section of netizens seemed to be happy with the decision.

The club has been in the spotlight for controversy. The most recent incident was in July 2021, when one person lost his life after a shooting incident at one of the club's lounges situated along Thika Road.
In the fatal incident, a police officer was admitted to Nairobi Hospital in critical condition after being shot by his colleague in a confrontation that is said to have involved a woman.
Constable Festus Musyoka Kavuthi, who was a DCI officer attached to Starehe Police Station, was shot in the neck by his friend Lawrence Muturi.
Muturi was a police constable attached to Kasarani Police Station. At the time, the drama began when Muturi came across his Starehe colleague with a woman, leading to the shooting.
Musyoka was the first to shoot his colleague in the hand leaving him with injuries.
In retaliation, Muturi pulled his pistol and shot Musyoka in the neck and accidentally shot the woman identified as Felista Nzisa in the abdomen.
The lady and Musyoka were immediately rushed to Nehema Uhai Hospital for first aid services. Musyoka was later referred to Nairobi Hospital for specialized care.
Muturi, on the other hand, took himself to Radiant Hospital where he was treated and discharged in fair condition.
