Popular Kameme FM presenter Njogu Wachira on Sunday, July 4 celebrated his 10 years of being on the airwaves.

Taking to social media, Njogu expressed his gratitude and struggles altogether before achieving his dream of working in the radio station.

"Celebrating a decade in Kameme FM, to me it's no mean feat," he wrote.

On 2011 July 4, Njogu picked his appointment letter indicating he was ready to start working immediately.

"This took the HR by surprise and queried whether I had understood the content of my appointment letter, 'you mean you want to start right away?' and I quickly responded to the affirmative," he wrote.

His dream came to life over seven months after the presenter lost his job at Bahasha-cum-Countryside FM which as indicated closed in 2010 January.

Njogu who was a father of one resolved to sell mitumba at Ng'ara to fed for his young family alongside his other friends who later joined him in the industry.

"Several years later Njoroge Kimani whom we had schooled journalism together joined me but on Kameme TV side, and recounting our journey was nostalgic," he stated.

Although he says his 10 years journey with the station has been great, he has overcome several challenges attributing his success to three whom he says impacted indelible marks in his career and his life.

"But today as I clock 10 years with a station I long envied to work for, I choose to celebrate the three; George Waweru, Anderson Waweru, and Hon Wanjiku Kibe. They in their own variations impacted indelible marks on my career as well as my life. And to God be the glory," Njogu wrote in conclusion.
