Being plus-sized was once seen to be a symbol of affluence and slim persons were thought to be poor, especially in the traditional sector, before things changed.

People in the 21st-century now desire to be thin but there is a class that still stands out as plus size and rock in their beautiful bodies.

Some celebrities across the world have totally embraced the big size and fans are loving it.

Below are proud Kenyan plus-size celebrities some of whom have constantly been at the forefront to support plus-size women.

Kamene Goro

Kamene Goro, the Kiss 100 breakfast show host, is a well-known media personality. The radio host is beautiful not just because of her soothing voice and humour, but also because of her plump and gorgeous physique.

Kamene has been the buzz of town for quite some time. As a result of her great career as a radio broadcaster, event host, and emcee, her popularity among youngsters is expanding almost every day.

Sandra Dacha

The actress did not have it easy when she initially started out. Her life was difficult before she became the huge celebrity she is now.

Sandra wrote on Instagram that she used to live in a mud hut in Nairobi's Korogocho slums before shifting to an iron sheet house. Today, she is among the most celebrated plus-size women in Kenya.

Neomi Nganga

Neomi Wambui Nganga, a well-known Kenyan actress, was born on October 5, 1987. Her roles as Mama Sweetie in the 2011 television series Lies that Bind and Ama in the 2013 television series Sumu la penzi made her a household name in Kenya.

Sema Nami, her Swahili conversation show, premiered on StarTimes in 2015. She was raised in a family of eight children in Huruma Estate.

Shelly Mukami

Known as 'Shellysophisticatedrythm,' Shelly is a plus-size Kenyan model, aspiring make-up artist, YouTuber, and digital influencer. She was a finalist in Miss World Kenya, 2019.

She previously told a local blog that she loves to wear clothes that show off her curves because it demonstrates how at ease she is in her own self, and she has acted as an example to many young women.

"Because I have a strong personality, I lean towards anything that highlights my curves, and when it comes to fashion, I break convention by dressing for my body type while simultaneously trying to stay up with the current trends."
