Controversial and self-proclaimed President of comedy in Africa Eric Omondi who has been on a heated twist and turns with his baby mama Jacque Maribe following her deadbeat claims, now wants a DNA test conducted to confirm paternity.
In a lengthy write up on Instagram, Omondi explains he met Jacque in 2012 and the two slept together after a staff party in their company.
On the fateful night, he claims they used protection because after all, Jacque was dating another popular journalist Sam Ogina.
"So we met at Radio Africa in 2012. I was working at Radio Jambo and Jacque was working at Kiss TV. So one Random night after a Radio Africa Staff Party and after a few bottles of whiskey and wine glasses Jacque and I happened. It was really a one-night thing because she was dating KTN's Sam Ogina at the time. WE USED PROTECTION!!!" he wrote.
After two months, Jacque would then come around to say she was pregnant and while he questioned the chances that he was the father, Omondi says she supported her claims based on motherly instincts.
"After two months Jacque tells me she's pregnant!!! I immediately ask her how since we used protection??? She then tells me "It doesn't matter the mother always knows who the Father is and that I am the Father!!!" he added.
The comedian further claimed that he only heard from Jacque four months after the baby was born where she was requesting him to be part of the baby's life.
Omondi later asked for a DNA test which allegedly offended Jacque and has turned down the request for seven years now.
"During the entire pregnancy nothing happened and we barely saw each other. Roughly 4 months after the baby was born Jacque called me and asked me if I would help or be part of the baby's life. I asked her for a DNA test so that I could comfortably be part of the baby's life and SUPPORT fully. She got very offended and Refused my request. For 7 seven years I have begged Jacque to allow us to have a DNA Test and she has CONTINUALLY refused!!!" he claims.
Eric maintains that he has no problem supporting his son but on grounds that Jacque will provide a key piece of evidence and in this case a paternity test.
"I don't mind supporting the child but if you want me to be FULLY PRESENT and SUPPORTIVE if you want me to be a FATHER, then we have to do the RIGHT THING!!!!" he wrote in conclusion.
This comes shortly after Jacque called him out for being a deadbeat barely hours after serenading his ‘mom to be baby mama in waiting’ Miss P promising her of his full support and responsibility.
The father of one would later explain that Miss P was five months pregnant attracting netizens’ reactions and an eventual response from his first baby mama Jacque Maribe.
“I met this beautiful woman five months ago in an event I was hosting. Whatever happened, happened and I promised her I would take every responsibility,” the comedian said adding that children are a blessing from God.
In her response, ex-TV girl Jacque Maribe wrote: “Responsibility? @catewamaribe come I can’t speak 7 years of responsibility.”
