Peter Blessing, a gospel artiste who was formerly signed by Bahati's EMB Records is now working as a security guard to earn a living.
The singer who fell out with Bahati, in an interview with Presenter Ali, says that life has not been smooth on his side, and was forced to fall back to the job to avoid begging.
"I had a challenge in music. You cannot go telling everyone you have a problem or begging from friends so you have to get something so that you do not sleep hungry," he said.

Blessing, who started as a security guard before joining the entertainment industry, says it was not easy going back to his former job, after a stint of fame and interaction with big names in the music industry.
"It was not easy going back to my former job. I reached a point that was not easy. Some people see me and wonder whether it is me (doing this job)," he added.
He says despite reaching out to different people in the industry, he is yet to get the help that will see him get back on his feet.
"Music is my career and I believe God gave me the talent to use it. This is just a passing cloud. In music you should have another job giving you cashflows," he says.
Blessing says he still keeps his tabs open in going back to EMB Records. He also requests his fans to assist him financially and in prayers to help him release his music.
"I would ask them (my fans) to support me through prayers and finances because I love music. It is music that brought me to Nairobi, not even this job (security guard).
In March 2022, Blessing featured in Size 8's album 'Gospel Anthem', which included a wedding song, 'Zawadi Yangu'.
Peter Blessing's fallout with Bahati
Peter Blessing came to the limelight after Bahati signed him on his record label EMB before the two later fell out.
Peter Blessing was arrested in January 2020 and charged in court, before he was released on a cash bail of Ksh200,000, after being sued by Bahati on grounds of obtaining Ksh2,039,000 through false pretense, while at EMB Records.
Bahati accused him of illegally leaving EMB Records, without honouring the contract he signed to be managed by EMB Records in 2019, with an agreement that all returns from his music would go back to the label.
EMB Records' management claimed that it invested Ksh2 million in Peter Blessing hoping it would recover the money, but he ended up exiting the label prematurely.
In March 2022, a Nairobi court acquitted Blessings against the charges.
