Livid neighbours in Seasons area of Kasarani, Nairobi on Tuesday evening called cops on actress Nyasuguta and her two female friends over claims that they were drunk and causing disturbance of public peace.

Police arrived at the scene and arrested the former Vitimbi actress and her buddies. The three spent the night at Santon Police Station.

Kasarani OCPD, Muthuri Mwongera, told K24 Digital that the suspects were released early Wednesday after Nyasuguta “struck a deal with her neighbours”.

“They made peace, dropped the bid to seek legal redress against her. We had no other choice but to release the suspects,” said Mwongera.

On her part, Nyasuguta, whose real name is Eunice Wambui, alleged that male police officers assigned to arrest her, harassed and accused her of operating a brothel.

“One of the male cops even asked us how much we charged for sex,” said Nyasuguta.
