Nandy launches her own females-only record label

Tanzanian singer Faustina Charles Mfinanga popularly known as Nandy has officially launched her own record label.

Dubbed 'The African Princess', the label which was launched on Monday, January 16, 2023, will be an only-women record label, the 'Ninogeshe' hitmaker has confirmed.

In an Instagram post shared, the singer expressed excitement for achieving the wonderful milestone. She opined that the label was a dream come true and urged her fans to support her.

The singer has now joined a list of musicians such as Diamond Platnumz, Ali Kiba among others who own their own record labels.

“Ninayo furaha kubwa kuileta kwenu Rasmi The African princess label…! 2023 lebel ambayo itahusisha wanawake tu! Kama tunavo ona industry ya watoto wa kike ni chache sana na uthubutu umekuwa ni mdogo so tunaimani na kuomba the African princess lebel itaongeza wingi wa vipaji vya watoto wa kike waliopo mtaaani wenye ndoto kubwa ya kuwa wanamziki,” the post reads in parts.

“Ni matumaini yangu makubwa kwa media, blogs, mashabiki mtatupokea kwa moyo mmja na kutupa support ya Hali na Mali Ili tuweze kufanikisha ndoto za mabinti walio mtaani…Shukrani za dhati kwa watu wote walio pokea hili huu ni mwanzo kaa karibu na ntandao wako maaana soon tutamzindua msanii wetu wa kwanza,”she added.

This loosely translates to:

"I am very excited to officially launch The African princess label….!2023. The label is an only-female record label! The female music industry has very few artists, I am hopeful that my label will support upcoming artists and nurture talents among artists who dream to become renowned musicians,"

"I am hopeful that the media, blogs and my fans will welcome the label and support it so that we are able to uplift female upcoming artists…I appreciate everyone who welcomed the label, we will soon be unveiling our new signed artist,"
