Singer Naiboi is among the few artists who received a nod in the recently released Grammy Nominations list 2022.

Naiboi was nominated in 'Best Reggae Album' category for his 'Pamoja' album with dancehall queen Etana.

He was featured in one of the songs in the album titled 'Legacy'

In a post on social media today, Naiboi shared a screenshot of a conversation with Etana's management team lauding him for the great honour and captioned it to read;

"OTERO SSN 🙏🏿🙏🏿. I got this message from @etanastrongone ‘s management yesterday. And man all I can say is God Is The Greatest! Thank you for allowing me to be part of the #PAMOJA album and on that special track #Legacy cz Damn my #Legacy just got GRAMMIED."

Nominations for the 2022 Grammys were announced on November 23 and the ceremony will be held on January 31, 2022 in Los Angeles, USA.

Other nonimees who dominated the list include international singers Jon Batiste with 11 nods, Justin Bieber, Doja Cat and H.E.R. follow with eight and both Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo received seven.

This comes a few months after the singer threatened to sue his record label citing struggles to release new songs.

Naiboi took to social media and in a subtle Instagram post, he asked fans to pray for him saying his hands have been tied for almost two years which have deterred him from giving his fans more music.

“All I ever wanted is to release music for my fans. And I know my fans are worried wondering what’s up with A Naiboi!! My Hands have been tied for almost 2years now. And I am tired of being at mercy of these people,” he stated.
