Daudi Mustafa alias Colonel Mustafa has disclosed his biggest regrets.

In an interview with a local publication, Mustafa noted that he regrets wasting his money on useless things when he was at the peak of his music career.

The musician pointed out that he spent his earnings on slay queens and alcohol and had nowhere to turn to when things went south.

However, he has assured his fans that he would make wiser decisions to avoid returning to the same situation his fans have tried so hard to get him out of.

While assuring his fans of better choices, Mustafa also appreciated his fans for the immense support they have accorded him to help him get back on his feet.

"I was young and reckless when I had money. Now, I am older and wiser. I assure my fans that the funds they have contributed will be put to good use, especially towards my mother’s health," he stated.

Mustafa's struggles

Mustafa, a household name in Kenya's music industry, became the talk of the town after a video of him working at a construction site elicited mixed reactions with many wondering about the sudden change in his life trajectory.

So far, a section of his friends have raised more than Ksh1 million through fundraisers.

Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs Sports and Arts also assured the artiste of support from the government as he works towards himself and restoring his mother's health.

“We have heard your challenges, and as a Ministry, I want to assure you that we are here to walk with you in this challenging phase. We have put together a package for you that will ensure that you are back on your feet, making music and entertaining us,” Namwamba stated.
