Kenya Films and Classification Board (KFCB) boss Ezekiel Mutua has warned against the making and release of explicit videos stating it is illegal.

Mutua says recording others while naked, with or without their approval is a breach of the Films and Stage Plays Act Cap 222.

In a message that he shared via his Twitter account, Mutua noted; " Making videos of others while naked, with or without their approval, is a breach of the Films and Stage Plays Act Cap 222. No film or class of film for public exhibition shall be made without a filming license from the Board."

In the recent past, there have been cases of released explicit videos going viral on social media and evoking varying emotions among netizens.

Socialite Bridgit Achieng, fell victim to the same after her alleged nude video leaked online.

Bridgit took to social media and, in an Instagram post, she responded stating; "You never see the bitter bitches in business meetings, traveling the world, or living their best life because they are always on social media commenting and talking the most BS about other successful women they could never stand next to. I stand with myself!"

In 2015, Judge Edward Muriithi ruled that former Miss Kenya be paid Ksh1 million for leaked photos.

Roshanara Ibrahim won a case against her boyfriend who leaked her nude pictures online.
