Former Machakos First Lady Lilian Nganga has confirmed that she got married to musician Juliani in a private wedding.

This is after photos from their alleged privately wedding emerged online in February, months after they started dating.

Speaking in a recent interview, the mother of one noted that the wedding was supposed to be a low-key event.

Lilian said that the photo which was widely circulated online was taken by people who were having a picnic at their wedding venue.

She also regretted the move by the people to take photos and circulate online.

"That was wrong. Weddings are private. For anyone to see the need to share, it was wrong. But everything happens for a reason,” Lilian said.

The former First Lady described her wedding as simple and among the best days of her year.

Office of the First Lady

Elsewhere, Lilian defended herself against claims that she did not work while holding the office of the Machakos First Lady.

The businesswoman insisted that she did a lot of work under the office but it was not publicized.

As such, the former First Lady insisted that people should not downplay that fact and instead credit her for work done.

“First reason was that I wanted to share the work I did as Machakos First Lady because I did do a lot but it was never publicized as much

“I gave years of my life to many different projects that changed and improved many lives and that should not be disregarded with the blanket of I was just a pretty companion that did not do anything in Machakos County,” Lilian said.

Alfred Mutua admits to missing Lilian Nganga

Elsewhere, Mutua sparked reactions after admitting to missing his ex-wife.

The former county boss argued that it was normal for human beings to miss people especially if they have lived together.

“You miss people who come into your life. The people who are in your life, even for a month, two months, or 20 years, leave a part of them in you. It is natural for you to miss them. You have to be the devil incarnate for you not to miss them,” said Mutua.

Mutua also ruled out the possibility of himself and Lilian going back together, however, stating that he believes in couple reconciliation.

“People go apart and come back together. It’s there in the Bible. It’s God who plans these things. If He says you’ll get back together, you will. Don’t fight His will,” he added.
