John Orinda who is Felix Orinda alias DJ Evolve’s father on Tuesday afternoon opened up about how his son is faring on hours after rumour went round that he had died.

Speaking to the media, Orinda said that the health of his son had really improved dismissing claims that he had died.

On Tuesday morning, social media was awash with rumour that the entertainer who was shot on his head by Embakassi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino had died.

“My son is doing well .He can even now sit down for hours unlike before. I was shocked when I woke up in the morning with the rumour that my son had died,” Orinda said.

He further stated that it was a disgrace to the family that someone had decided to end his life yet he was doing well.

The DJ is currently at their Fedha home where he has been recuperating since mid-last year when he was discharged from Nairobi Hospital.

In an exclusive interview with his brother, Andrew Orinda said that he was doing well and dismissed the rumour that he was no more.

Babu Owino is accused of shooting the DJ at B Club, Kilimani in Nairobi.

In a CCTV footage, the lawmaker who is serving his first term in Parliament was captured retrieving his firearm and shooting the DJ on his head.

Doctors and family later said that the bullet was lodged in his brain.

Owino was arrested and the matter is currently in court.
