King Kaka opens up on how he lost 33kgs after misdiagnosis

Popular rapper Robert Ombima alias King Kaka has finally opened up on his health after growing concern among his fans over his sudden emaciation. In a long Instagram post, the rapper revealed to his fans that he has been battling an unknown disease for the last 3 months and 8 days. He says his sickness stemmed from a misdiagnosis.

Kaka says he exhibited symptoms akin to those of Covid-19 but test results turned negative. He adds that his condition led to a lose of weight to an extent that his clothes no longer fit him. The rapper says he has so far lost 33 kgs and a waist size reduction from 36 to 33. The father of two further stated that he lost appetite for food and has been surviving on porridge and fruits.

"Dear Fans , it’s only right that I share this with you. I have been sick for 3 months 8 days now. I was misdiagnosed. Lost 33kgs and in the process we started hospital visits , did all the tests and they were Negative funny thing is I feel no pain and we are still hopeful that we will get the solution soon my waist was 36 now it’s 33 Ata sina nguo, was consuming only uji and kidogo fruits, started eating food 3 weeks ago pole pole ntazoea and no taste for 2 months," he said.

The 'Ligi Soo' hitmaker confesses that he has a new found respect for God and thanked his concerned friends for always checking on him. Kaka assured his fans that the condition he has been grappling with has not deterred him from working on music projects. In his post, he reveals that he has an upcoming EP (Extended Play Record), titled 'Happy Hour'.

"I have a new respect for God and life , the closest friends that knew Asante for always checking up . The doctor said instead of just sitting around I try doing what makes me happy. Thankfully I had recorded my EP and didn’t have a name for it but now I have every reason to call it Happy , ‘Happy Hour'," he posted.

The rapper attributed his improving condition to the concerted efforts of his mother and wife, Nana Owiti. Kaka pleaded with his fans to pray for him as his recuperation journey enters its final stages. He implored his fans and friends who have been trying to reach him on phone to be patient since he is currently incapacitated to respond.

"While I am in my final recovery stages I will show you some of the stories and how I got. I miss my kids, my wife Nana Owiti has been a great pillar through the 3 months and my mom. What I need from you is just prayers nothing more. I was born a winner , I just hope that I am alive for it. To those who have my number I may not pick at this moment but I am ok," he stated.
