Tanzania artist Rajab Abdul Kahali, known for his stage name Harmonize, on Saturday, June 12 released a new song to praise the new President Samia Suluhu.

In the song, Kazi Iendelee featuring Congolese Awilo Longomba and H Baba, Harmonize expressed confidence in Samia and her government.

President Suluhu has however not commented on the new song which is likely to be a hit in Tanzania.

Konde Boy took to social media to slam critics saying he is proud of Samia and that haters should stay away.

"Kama humpendi kaa mbali. Proud of my President, Samia Suluhu Hassan," Harmonize wrote.

This is however not the first time the artist is recording patriotic songs as in August 2019, Harmonize released a song called ‘Magufuli’ that praises John Magufuli for his achievements during his reign.

In the song, he mentions the development Magufuli had brought to Tanzania including free education and roads.

Harmonize is however not the first Tanzanian secular artise to praise their presidents. Wasafi sensational Diamond Platnumz is behind the campaign song for the country's ruling party Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM).

President Samia came to power in March 2021 following the death of her predecessor John Pombe Magufuli.

Her swearing-in ceremony was held at State House in Dar es Salaam, and Samia 61, made history as the first female leader in East Africa.
