Karen Nyamu was among the politicians who attended Akothee and Omondi's wedding at Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club on April 10, 2023.
Nyamu took to social media to congratulate Akothee after attending her wedding.
"Here for Akothe’s big day. Congratulations mama! Love is a beautiful thing @akotheekenya," Nyamu wrote.

A netizen commenting on Nyamu's post asked her to also look for her own husband and not elope with someone's.
"Tafuta wako sasa sio ya wenyewe," the comment reads.
Nyamu in a quick rejoinder indicated that she would not leave someone's husband, adding that a married man is the one who impresses her.

Bedroom gift
During the wedding, Karen Nyamu raised eyebrows with the 'bedroom gift' she gave Akothee and Omondi, telling them to only open it when they are in the 'mood' during their honeymoon.
"Hii ni ya bedroom, saa zile mumerelax kwa honeymoon ama saa zile muko kwa mood - hio mood mufungue hii na munikumbuke. And enjoy yourselves na Mungu awabariki," Karen Nyamu told the newlyweds.
