Taking to social media, Diana consoled Bahati and encouraged him to focus on the positives ahead for his sake and the people of Mathare.

Bahati who had been awarded a Jubilee ticket was on Monday, April 25 asked to step down in favour of the incumbent ODM’s MP Anthony Oluoch in Mathare parliamentary race.

In a video circulating online, Bahati is seen begging President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga to allow him to contest in the race.

“I wish to appeal to my President Uhuru Kenyatta and Baba Raila Odinga, please give a youth a chance to contest.

“I know Mathare has been zoned as an ODM zone, but for this one time, please give a youth of this country a chance,” Bahati is seen pleading.

“I already had one. These people of Mathare want someone who understands their problems, someone who comes from there,” he added.
