That is the predicament Ms Ida Odinga's family found itself in, going by a video shared on social media.
Ida, the wife of powerful politician and Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga, just couldn't resist the temptation.
In the video, she can be seen plucking fruits from a neighbours' tree whose branches hang over her fence.
Her daughter is seen laughing at her cheekily as she digs in for the forbidden fruit.
