Kenyan socialite Huddah Monroe has revealed that Chris Kirubi inspired her to start her company Huddah Cosmetics.

In a social media post on her Insta stories, Huddah sent her condolence message to the family of Kirubi while recalling their previous conversation with the fallen businessman when they bumped into each other in a plane.

She says the conversation highly motivated her into starting a cosmetic business.

"We had a long talk because I like to ask and learn from people. I am happy that he was part of what inspired me to start Huddah Cosmetics," she wrote.

Huddah, 29, says apparently Chris asked her what she does for a living but she did not have an answer.

That became a turning point for her as she claims to say, " He proceeded to upgrade me to first class."

Kirubi, 80, succumbed to cancer on Monday, June 14 at his home.

Kenyans and leaders continue to mourn the death of the business mogul, and in his message, the president mourned Kirubi as a patriot, seasoned businessman, entrepreneur and industrialist who founded and successfully ran some of Kenya's largest corporations.

"The cruel hand of death has robbed our nation of a patriot whose entrepreneurial spirit, hard work and determination saw him create some of our country's largest enterprises which offer employment to thousands of our people," Uhuru said.

Popular media personality Maina Kageni also eulogised the late as a father, mentor, great golf partner, an astute businessman and a nice boss.

Maina praised Kirubi's kin Maryanne, 47, as a wonderful example of a daughter raised by a good man.

Before his death, Chris tweeted an encouraging message to his followers, and Kenyans at large which read, "Top of the morning to you, my dear friend. It doesn’t have to be a tiring Monday. Instead, I bring to you good tidings of favor, success, achievements, and happiness in the new week."

"Give yourself a go towards your success plan. Enjoy today and the rest of your week."
