Former Churchill Show comedian Vincent Mwasya, alias Chipukeezy has praised self-proclaimed President of Comedy in Africa Eric Omondi as a 'good brother' for holding his hand in his career.

Chipukeezy who has been in the US for the last two years says Eric Omondi introduced him to the international market thereby giving him an opportunity to meet globally-acclaimed comedians including Katt Williams.

"He carried me with him to his international gigs. He introduced me to Patrik and through him, I met Katt Williams," he wrote.

"Eric Omondi is a good brother. He took me in as a brother when times were tough. He gave me a lot of good advice he carried me with him to shows when the industry was not giving me shows, he introduced me to the international market," he added.

Recalling his journey to the top, Chipukeezy shared a few highlights that saw him establish himself in the entertainment industry in Kenya and internationally.

He began with acting in theatre before joining Churchill Show where he caught the gaze of Kenyans and his then-boss comedy chief Daniel Ndambuki.

Later, he met Radio queen Caroline Mutoko who gave him a chance on the airwaves.

It wasn't long until he quit radio and moved to the USA but he also says he made mistakes that saw his career come crashing down.

After hitting rock bottom, he decided to take a break. He then sought advice from singers Nyashinski and Harmonize who were making big international moves.

After coming back to Kenya, he tried his hand in events planning and organised a couple of comedy shows both in Kenya and Rwanda which were a success.

After two years in the country, he got back on his feet and moved back to the US where he still lives to date.
